Karen Hansen
Administrative Director
Voice
Karen holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the New England
Conservatory of Music in Boston and Master of Music degree from Westminster
Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. Prior to moving to
California in 2005, Ms. Hansen was on the voice faculty of Westminster
Conservatory in Princeton, NJ, for 17 years. She became Manager of one
of the extension divisions of Westminster Conservatory and held that position for
6 years. Ms Hansen has sung opera, oratorios and recitals on both the East and
West coasts—including appearances with the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and Sarah
Johnson & Friends concert series, both in Charleston, SC, and she was a
member of the Savannah Chamber trio.
Voice instructors with whom Karen has worked include Eleanor Steber and Judith Nicosia. Karen also teaches voice lessons at the Academy.
